MICRA

MICRA Transcatheter Pacing Study

Sponsor: Medronic

Purpose: The purpose of this clinical study is to evaluate the safety and efficacy of the Micra Transcatheter Pacing System and to assess long term performance.

Inclusion Criteria: 

  • Subjects who have a Class I or II indication for implantation of a single chamber ventricular pacemaker according to ACC/AHA/HRS 2008 guidelines and any national guidelines
  • Subjects who are able and willing to undergo the study requirements and are expected to be geographically stable for the duration of the follow-up.
  • Subjects who are at least 18 years of age (or older, if required by local law).

MR Techniques

MR techniques to identify cryoballoon lesions within the left atrium

Sponsor: NIH/AHA

Purpose: To develop imaging techniques used to identify completeness of cryoablation lesions in the context of atrial fibrillation

Inclusion Criteria: All patients with a standard indication for atrial fibrillation ablation.

RF Lesion Monitoring

Radiofrequency Ablation Lesion Monitoring Using Imbedded Micro-Electrodes Versus Standard Bipolar Electrograms

Sponsor: Boston Scientific

Purpose: This study will analyze the signals obtained from this FDA-approved catheter in people undergoing a catheter ablation procedure. The study will examine signals after the procedure is finished and will not prolong or differ the process from a standard ablation procedure. The goal of this study is to determine the ability of the microelectrodes to distinguish ablated, or cauterized versus non-cauterized tissue.

Inclusion Criteria: All patients with a standard indication for atrial flutter.
